Important Notice: Report Arts and Disability Sector Consultation
Arts SA funded a consultation in late 2008 to determine the needs of the Arts and Disability Sector, the report from this consultation has now been released. The report and the South Australian Government response to the recommendations is now available on the Arts SA website: www.arts.sa.gov.au
As a result a partnership will be established with the Community Arts Network South Australia (CANSA) and the Disability Information Resource Centre (DIRC). This initiative will commence from 1 July 2OO9 and is funded through Arts SA and the Office of Disability and Client Services (ODACS). The Acting Executive Director and the Executive Director of those government organisations have written to Arts Access SA regarding the outcome. View the letter (PDF).
This report has significant implications for Arts Access SA (AASA) and its ongoing core funding and programs. The recently elected / re-elected AASA Board will meet in the near future to consider the report. This meeting will focus its attention on the services AASA are able to provide for members and clients and identify the source of resources to meet those needs.
Should you have any further queries, please refer to the Acting Executive Director of Arts SA on (08) 8463-5453 or reid.alex@dpc.sa.gov.au
